Barbara Lorey de Lacharriere

Barbara Lorey de Lacharrière is a Paris-based writer and freelance journalist for German and Swiss newspapers and periodicals, specializing in cultural reporting and film criticism. She is the founder of Alizarine Productions - films & events Inc, .Paris, has curated film-weeks, special film-programs and photo- exhibitions in France and the USA, conducted workshops for media students on film-criticism and film appreciation , and is a program consultant for various film festivals such as the Jakmel Festival/ Haïti or the Kolkata Film Festival.

A member of FIPRESCI, she has been a juror at a great number of International Film festivals all over Europe, USA, Australia , India and Africa. Born in former East-Germany, BldeL studied in Munich, Hamburg and Paris, and has masters degrees in psychology and sociology. She has previously worked for many years as a researcher, lecturer and trainer in intercultural communication..
